Impact measurement
To assess the positive effects of its urban regeneration strategy, Ginkgo has developed a dedicated impact framework, which is enhanced for each new fund. This framework is used at every stage in the life of the fund and its projects, from due diligence to reporting, monitoring and operational management.
It is based on precise indicators, combined with rigorous methodologies and quantified targets, covering the main environmental challenges in urban areas: reducing land artificialisation, cleaning up pollution, the circular economy, biodiversity, energy efficiency and adapting to climate change.
The framework is based on national and European targets and standards, such as the European Green Taxonomy, guaranteeing indicators that are understandable, uniform across different geographies and verifiable by independent experts.
Since 2021, Ginkgo has linked the remuneration of its managers to the achievement of impact targets via a dedicated carried interest mechanism.
Ginkgo has also adopted Good Social Practices that encourage the involvement of stakeholders in the definition of projects, and contribute to the emergence of neighbourhoods that respond to local issues and improve the quality of life for current and future residents.
